Knowing These 7 Secrets Will Make Your Virtual Offices Look Amazing

1. Pay for your stock images

Does anything look more pathetic than poor stock images? Free stock images can be great for nonspecific uses in minor projects, but this is your branding we’re talking about! Even interior shots of shiny office spaces can look drab or disappointing if they aren’t taken professionally. Since free stock photo sites rarely pay their photographers at all, the ‘professional’ element isn’t going to be there.

2. Take a real staff photo

Putting a staff portrait somewhere, preferably in an “About Us” section can help make a personal connection that puts clients at ease. Traditionally this happens when they go to your office and shake your hand. Since that’s not an option here, the photo grows more important. Seeing that photo and then recognizing the person they speak to within it can be a great comfort. Include everyone you have, even the person answering phones from home. The bigger your staff looks, the better.

Don’t have a staff? Find a good-quality, professional photo of yourself. No selfies!

3. Encourage virtual contact in your copy

One of the simplest mistakes people make when running a virtual office is including the words ‘come see us!’ in their website and sales copy. However, you don’t want to ask clients to do that because what can be interpreted literally probably will be interpreted literally. Nobody feels good when they find out the office of a company they’ve been giving money to doesn’t exist.

4. Hire a virtual secretary

Funneling a majority of your external communications through a single gatekeeper can make your life and the lives of your staff much easier. On top of that, a secretary can make a company seem much more professional with their very presence. This person can work from home or another outside location just like any other staff, as long as they have an easy way to transfer calls and forward messages to the appropriate people.

5. Maintain an actual workspace

There are so many reasons that maintaining a clean, organized work environment for yourself is important. Not only does it boost productivity and help ward off the work-from-home blues, but it gives you a professional space for when you need it. More importantly, it sets you up to make a good impression during video calls, a staple form of communication for anyone working out of a virtual office. Your smiling face will put your clients at ease, but empty Doritos bags and a cluttered home office that is clearly doubling as the baby’s room in the background will have the opposite effect.

6. Make arrangements for internal communications

It can be hard to take a team of independent workers and make them move in turn, so establishing how you want people to contact one another is a good place to start. Emails, a networked phone system, a particular chat function; these are all great ways to keep everyone on the same page.

7. Don’t abandon face to face meetings with staff

Often called ‘hermit syndrome,’ this is a problem that independent workers face all the time. When work doesn’t force you to meet with clients and interact with co-workers regularly, communication can start falling flat.

If at all possible, meet regularly with your staff. This will result in a better workflow, improved conflict resolution, and better brainstorming.

Top design tips for a cool and modern nursery

Getting a nursery ready in advance is somewhat reassuring for future parents: it will spare you sending your stress levels up a further notch after baby’s arrival.

While practicality and safety are obviously top priorities when designing a room for a baby, creating a cool and modern space in line with the rest of your home and without compromising on comfort is not an impossible mission with our help and the following tips.

Designing for your little one doesn’t have to be boring and you don’t need to compromise on style!

Floorings: safe and decorative

Wooden and laminate floors are both ideal for a nursery: they’re resistant and very easy to clean, reducing potential allergies caused by dust accumulation.

Combined with a washable play mat in the centre of the room, they can provide as much comfort as a carpeted floor, without any of the downsides such as dust, bacteria and non-removable stains.

Wooden floors can be painted in black, dark brown or white for a trendy interior. Laminate can’t be renovated or painted over but you’ll find a wider array of design options so you’re unlikely to run out of inspiration.

On the walls: keep it simple!

With great possibilities come great responsibilities, but finding the perfect design balance on the walls is actually easier than you’d think.

Non-toxic and washable paint is recommended. Depending on the amount of light in the room, it’s usually best to opt for neutral tones, such as soft whites, warm greys and light pastels.

All of them are very adaptable and will go with most interiors as your baby grows up.

What’s more, they can also act as the perfect canvas. Just select just a few key pieces to add a bit of rhythm to the walls, such as colored frames or creative wall stickers.

Creating a pattern on one of the walls can also be a great design statement. Look out for stripes, polka dots or geometric patterns!

Furniture: creative on the cheap

If your budget doesn’t stretch to the skies and you can’t afford the all the latest designer items that will need to be replaced in a few years’ time anyway, why not customise cheap or second-hand furniture for your baby?

Think outside the box and consider taking a few Ikea-hacking tips: with very limited supplies, you will be able to give a very modern and personal twist on your nursery furniture.

In terms of colours, white furniture is definitely having a moment this year and will add a touch of class to pretty much any room. Just add one or two colored design accessories to create the perfect combo and make the whole room pop.

It is regarded as one of the best places to live, not only in Rajasthan but in the entire country. The infrastructure in the city is world class and is very well connected to neighboring cities and states of India by all modes of transportation. It is also well connected to major centers of the world through Jaipur international airport.

The presence of a wide range of educational institutes, commercial centers and healthcare facilities has meant that the people here have a comfortable life. They have easy access to all essential amenities required for comfortable living making the real estate in Jaipur as one of the most preferred realty destinations in India. Also, the city enjoys cost advantage over its peers and thus buying or investing in flat in Jaipur offers dual advantage of lower input cost and higher price appreciation. The complete information on all kinds of realty assets in this ‘Pink City’ of India is readily available on Housing.com, the only online real estate platform in India with more than 5 lakh 58 thousand verified properties. Additionally, Housing.com features thousands of property to invest in Jaipur, all of which are 100% genuine and substantiated.

However, real estate does not involve only buying or selling of an asset. There is one other important aspect in realty deals and that is the legal issue. In fact, knowing the legal framework well is what ultimately dictates terms in property transactions. There are 3 kinds of legal issues that a common man must be aware of. This includes –

Pre sales

The presale legalities comprises mainly of the requisite permissions associated with a property. For a new apartment, this would include commencement certificate, blue print of the project, development agreement, approvals for electricity, water and sewage, completion and occupancy certificate. For resale flats, it consists of encumbrance certificate, no objection certificate from the builder / society, receipts of the latest light, water, property tax and society maintenance, etc.

On Sales

This is the 2nd most critical process in terms of property laws and comprises mainly of allotment letter, memorandum of understanding and registration of sale deed. In general, when buying a new home, the entire concentration goesin arranging the finance and getting the deal executed, rather than concentrating on legal clauses embedded in the draft agreement of sale deed. And this is exactly where people get trapped. Most times, the draft contracts are abruptly biased towards the seller and all sections related to cancellation, refund, possession, etc. are in favor of the owner. Hence, the prospective home purchasers must carefully verify each clause of the agreement before proceeding with the transaction.

Post Sales

These are property laws that home buyers are compelled to exercise in case of unfortunate circumstances or after being cheated by the sellers. These have to be implemented if there is:
  • A delay in possession
  • Registration is not done even after paying the down payment money
  • One flat is sold to multiple people Promised amenities are not delivered, etc.
